Swan Lake - Irina Kolesnikova

Albert Einstein once said that “Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination takes you everywhere.” Tonight, watching Irina Kolesnikova’s impassioned performance in Swan Lake, I finally understood the significance of these words. Logic is fueled by cold-hearted reason. It has no qualms about plotting and executing a stratagem to attain a clearly defined objective. Imagination is fueled by passion, a complete surrender to what you love deeply. Imagination doesn´t plot a course, it simply gives you a destination, but it makes you pursue it with such untrammeled passion, that it can take you anywhere; it can take you everywhere. And so does Kolesnikova. I could explain the reasons why, but who needs logic when you have imagination?
