Lost Stars
Are we all just lost stars?
Incandescent and bright.
Strangers by distance, siblings by sight.
Wondrous, majestic, sources of light.
Admiring each other, but sharing a plight.
Traveling in circles, thinking in lines.
Fractious, combustible, always in flight.
Unlimited wishes, in a limited time.
Amid infinite space, a limited life.
Subject to forces bending our might.
Attracting each other, but ready to fight.
Turning, burning, glowing at night.
Divided by space
United by light.
