Facebook Farewell Letter

Dear Friends,

As of May 1st, 2017, I will no longer use Facebook for social media. This is not an act of selfishness. It is an imposition dictated by circumstances well beyond my control. Thank you for allowing me to be a small part of your lives and for being a big part of mine. If you are my friend on Facebook, our paths must have crossed one day, either online or in the real world. I hope that in some way I was able to make a meaningful, albeit small contribution to your life and ask that you forgive me for my transgressions, should I have inadvertently offended you in any way.

If I can be of service to you in the future or if you should want to contact me for any reason, please feel free to email me. As I told an old friend recently, if you should find the time to write me, silence will never write you back. Alternatively, you can add me on WhatsApp.

Should you be so kind as to send your contact information, I would be most grateful. If not, I have compiled a list with all your names and, if changing circumstances allow me to return to Facebook one day, I will send you a friend request and please ask that you accept it, at your sole discretion and earliest convenience.

In the meantime, I wish you and your family only the very best. Thank you for the sunshine you brought to my life; forgive me for whatever rain I may have brought to yours. God bless, safe journey on.

Your friend,

Andre
