My Very Own Lotus Flower

She was delicate as she was pure. She was beautiful as she was quiet. Not a tulip, not a rose, my very own Lotus Flower. From a pond she would emerge, at the earliest of hours. Unadorned in her elegance, sublime in her power. The naked truth of beauty, no other could desire. Her fragrant silent vows, even angels would inspire. Lilac petals so hypnotic, every sense was set on fire. She was my love she was my soul. She was my friend, she was my partner. Not a tulip, not a rose, my very own Lotus Flower. A life devoid of petals, is a life not to aspire. The fragrance of her memory, destined never to expire. There is no greater love, that could elevate me higher.
